Making A Comeback!
Is America returning to the movie theaters?!
When I attended a new movie recently, I happened to notice that there were a number of cars (representing a good number of people!) in the parking lot of the multiplex theater. I’m talking a major cinema franchise, filled like it was the release of 2019’s “Lion King” or “Avengers: Endgame.” I hate to say it (actually, I don’t!), but “I told you so, I Told You So, I TOLD -- YOU -- SO!” It’s taken some time, but theater moviegoing is resurging. There were so many nay-sayers in the midst of the pandemic that proclaimed the industry would die because of Covid quarantine practices, compounded by the rise of streaming services. But not so! The statistics agree that moviegoing is making a comeback.
