What ARE You Thinking?!
Why are so many who claim allegiance to Christ so willing to overlook overt and unprecedented character flaws in their political servants, particularly, in President Trump?
I don’t understand. Is this actual patriotic loyalty, or just the blind accepting the leadership of the blind? In the face of continued evidence that the president is unqualified to be the leader of the United States (let alone leader of the free world!), why are avowed Christians so ready and willing to ignore, and in some cases justify, the averse actions & attitude of this individual? Even non-Christians see the hypocrisy. The Word of God says, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan” (Proverb 29:2). There’s been a lot of groaning throughout the two terms of Donald Trump.
And never in my lifetime have I seen so many people, of various ages, political leanings & walks of life, making violent attempts to rid America and the World of such a Commander-in-Chief as this. Three assassination attempts so far, the most recent occurring at the White House Correspondents’ dinner in April of this year, are unrivaled in recent presidential history and signal a supreme dislike of Trump.
